The professions that earn more wages in the US

Although the fact of wearing a suit and tie can be associated with great executives who earn very high salaries, it is the doctors who are better off. The difficulty of their work, the stress they undergo daily, especially those who operate and have lived in their hands make their salary reach much higher figures than those of an executive and manager.

A survey published by Business Insider, which reflects the May 2016 wage and employment data obtained from more than 1 million companies, found that nine of the ten highest-paid occupations in the US are in the field of medicine. The best-paid job of all is an anesthetist.

On average, anesthetists in the US earn an average annual salary of $ 269,600, which is more than five to six times the average salary of an American.

According to the American Society of Anesthetists, these doctors are responsible for the safety and well-being of patients before, during, and after surgery. In the United States, they are required to complete a four-year bachelor’s degree, four years of medical school, and a four-year residency program of an anesthesiologist. Most anesthetists become certified, and many complete an additional year of specialized training scholarship.

A 2014 medical compensation report by Medscape found that nearly 80% of anesthetists spend 40 or more hours per week with patients. Here are the 25 highest-paid jobs in the United States, all with a salary of more than $ 135,000 a year on average.
